ADHD TESTING

A CLEAR ANSWER. THE WHOLE PICTURE
Comprehensive ADHD assessments for children, teens, and adults. In person in Lakewood or virtually.
More than a checklist.
Many ADHD diagnoses are made from a single rating scale, like the Vanderbilt. That can miss the bigger picture. Trouble with focus, follow-through, and emotions can come from ADHD, but also from anxiety, depression, stress, or several things at once. My assessment looks at the whole person, so you get an answer you can trust and a clear next step.
Who it’s for
Children and teens, ages 5–17
Adults, 18 and older
Individuals residing in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wyoming. (More states available soon)

Maybe you’re a parent who has been wondering for a long time. Maybe you’re an adult who keeps recognizing yourself in what you read about ADHD. Either way, you deserve a real answer.
How it works
1. Background interview. An in-depth conversation about history, development, and daily life. For children and teens, this interview is with a parent or guardian.
2. Rating forms. The CADDRA ADHD Assessment battery, a standardized set of questionnaires completed by the person being assessed (as age-appropriate), parents, teachers, and others who know them well.
3. Clinical review. I score and bring together everything gathered to make a diagnostic determination from the full picture.
4. Feedback session. We sit down together to walk through the results, what they mean, and what comes next.
Timeline: Most assessments involve 1–2 appointments over 2–4 weeks. Once all forms are returned, allow 2–4 weeks for scoring and your letter.
Need it sooner? Reach out to talk about an expedited timeline. An additional fee may apply.

Good to know
-
This is a clinical diagnostic assessment, not a psychoeducational or neuropsychological evaluation. It does not measure IQ, learning disabilities, or academic achievement.
-
For children and teens: schools may or may not accept it for IEP eligibility. It can support a 504 plan request.
-
For adults: colleges, testing agencies, and employers set their own documentation requirements for accommodations.
-
I do not prescribe medication.
-
The result may be a rule-out of ADHD, or a different or additional diagnosis. The fee is the same regardless of outcome.
Before you schedule, check with your prescriber
Some pediatricians, psychiatrists, and other prescribers will only prescribe ADHD medication based on their own in-house assessment. If medication is a goal, please call the provider you plan to see and ask whether they accept an outside diagnosis from a licensed professional clinical counselor before you consent to this assessment.
Fees
Returning clients: $750
New clients: $1,050
The fee is paid in full at the start of the assessment and is non-refundable once the interview begins. Full terms are in the consent form you’ll review and sign before we begin.
ADHD testing is a self-pay service. I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so check with your insurer about out-of-network benefits.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. Just ask.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to be a current client?
No. Anyone is welcome. If I have seen you or your child at any time in the past, you pay the returning-client rate.
Do you take insurance?
ADHD testing is self-pay. I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Check with your insurer about out-of-network benefits.
What if it isn’t ADHD?
You still leave with clarity about what may be going on, plus referrals for next steps.
Can this be done virtually?
Yes. Appointments can be in person at my Lakewood office or virtual.
How long does it take?
Most assessments take 1–2 appointments over 2–4 weeks, then 2–4 weeks for scoring and your letter once all forms are returned. All forms and components need to be completed within 45 days of the interview.
Will my doctor accept the diagnosis?
Many do, but some prescribers require their own in-house assessment. Please check with your provider before you schedule.
Can my child’s school use it?
It can support a 504 plan request. Schools make their own IEP eligibility decisions and may or may not accept it for that purpose.
Who gets the letter?
You do. You keep the letter and share it with doctors, schools, or others as you choose.
